We have worked closely with Edinburgh University Press for about 8 years designing books and book jackets. We also got asked to look at a problem they were having with their identity
Objective
The University of Edinburgh logo struggled to work with the size constraint of being used on the books produced by the University’s Press. We were asked to create a solution that stayed true to The University of Edinburgh logo, brand and guidelines
Solution
We developed the mark with a system of elements that focused on each function required. Such as being used small, or on spine. That could be used together or separately and yet stayed true to The University of Edinburgh logo, brand and guidelines.
